Jean-Vincent BLOT - Bass
Jean-Vincent Blot graduated from the National Conservatory in Paris. He achieved his tuition with Hartmut Höll, Malcolm King and Margaret Hönig.
His first roles as a rising artist included Masetto and Il Commendatore from Don Giovanni, Prince Gremin from Evgeny Onegin, Zuniga from Carmen, The Policeman from The Consul by Menotti and Grenvil from La Traviata.
Soon after, he was invited to sing on many stages, such roles as Thoas from Iphigénie en Tauride by Piccinni (Orchestre national de France, Nürnberg), le Grand Prêtre from Padmâvatî by Roussel (Théâtre du Châtelet, Spoleto Festival), Arkel from Pelléas et Mélisande (Prague, Clermont-Ferrand, Hardelot Festival), Zuniga from Carmen (Nancy, Nice, Antibes, Montpellier and Metz), Basilio from Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Belgium), Haly from L’Italiana in Algeri (Vichy), Lodovico from Otello (Santander), Ceprano from Rigoletto (Metz, Rennes, Nancy and Caen), Douphol from La Traviata (Rennes), Rambaldo from La Rondine (Nancy), The Dignitary from The Portrait by Weinberg (Nancy), Der Zweiter Soldat from Salomé (Bordeaux), Daland from Der Fliegende Holländer (Rouen), Zaretsky from Evgeny Onegin (Tours), la Duègne from Les Caprices de Marianne by Henri Sauguet (touring France), Siroco from l’Etoile by Chabrier (Nancy), Géronte from Le Médecin Malgré Lui (Rennes), Luther and Crespel from Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Toulon), l’Aubergiste from Chérubin by Massenet (Montpellier), un Berger and le Médecin from Pelléas et Mélisande (Bordeaux), Nourabad from Les Pêcheurs de Perles (Bordeaux).
In the past recent seasons he sang The Duke from Roméo et Juliette (Scala di Milano), Crespel from Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Deutsche Oper Berlin, together with Luther in Bremen and Baden-Baden), The Ghost of the King from Hamlet (Angers, Nantes and Rennes), Le Gouverneur from Le Comte Ory (Rennes and Rouen), Tom from Un Ballo in Maschera (Angers, Nantes, Rennes) and Zuniga from Carmen (Saint-Etienne).
In the concert field, he sang the bass soloist in Jeanne d’Arc au Bûcher by Honegger (Santa Cecilia in Rome conducted by Antonio Pappano), Renard by Stravinsky (Radio France, Toulon), Pulcinella by Stravinsky (Rennes).
He sang under the baton of such conductors as Alain Altinoglu, Paul Daniel, Olari Elts, Laurence Foster, Alain Guingal, Anthony Hermus, Enrique Mazzola, Marc Minkowski, Paolo Olmi, Antonio Pappano, Jérôme Pillement, Emmanuel Villaume, Lorenzo Viotti, Jean-Marie Zeitouni… in stagings by Jean-Claude Auvray, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Alain Garichot, Vincent Tavernier, François de Carpentries, Juliette Deschamps, Mariame Clément, Dominique Pitoiset, Keith Warner…
During season 2020-2021, he sings the Second Soldier from Salomé at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Zuniga from Carmen in Reims then in Bordeaux, Basilio in an adaptation of Il Barbiere di Siviglia - "Les Fourberies de Figaro" in Angers and Nantes.
