
Alexandre ADRA - Bass
French-Lebanese, born in Canada, bass Alexandre Adra studied at the Rennes Conservatory, he attended the Baroque Opera course at the Regional Conservatory in Paris (class of Stéphane Fuget) and the Lyric Studio Il Caravaggio (under the tuition of Camille Delaforge).
He was a finalist both at the Marmande and the Voix Nouvelles Grand-Ouest competitions in 2022, and an award-winner at the Corsica Lyrica Competition in 2023. He was the recipient of the ARCAL Scholarship as the 2024 up-and-coming singer.
On stage, he sang Golaud from Pelléas et Mélisande, Sarastro from Die Zauberflöte, Il Commendatore and Masetto from Don Giovanni, Le Fauteuil and L’Arbre from L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, Simone in Gianni Schicchi, Il Marchese d’Obigny from La Traviata… His baroque background allowed him to sing Caronte from L’Orfeo by Monteverdi and The Cold Genius from The Fairy Queen by Purcell.
He regularly takes part in the series « Ça va mieux en le chantant » in the operas in Angers and Nantes where he was invited back to sing Saint-Saëns' Requiem and Puccini's Messa di Gloria.
This season, he sings in Pygmalion by Rameau at the Baroque Festival in Pontoise with the Ensemble Il Caravaggio and he takes part in the touring production of Le Carnaval de Venise by Campra with the company La Co[opéra]tive in Besançon, Compiègne, Grenoble, Sénart, Tourcoing, Châteauroux, Brest, Rennes, Quimper and Nantes.
