Joé BERTILI - Bass-Baritone

Joé Bertili graduated from the Conservatoire in Lyon and the Haute École de Musique in Geneva. He was a finalist at the « Voix des Outre-Mer » competition at the Paris Opera in 2020.

 

On stage, he sang Leporello from Don Giovanni (Escales Lyriques Festival at the Île d’Yeu), Calchas from La Belle Hélène (Dijon), Haly from L’Italiana in Algeri (Toulon), Le Duc de Vérone from Roméo et Juliette and Noah from Noah’s Flood by Britten (Geneva Chamber Orchestra), Balthazar from Amahl et les visiteurs du soir (Lausanne), Ogier from Les Chevaliers de la Table Ronde by Hervé (Avignon, Lausanne), Bartolo from Le Nozze di Figaro (Monthey), Lindorf then Crespel from Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Filao Festival in La Martinique then in La Réunion), Porgy from Porgy and Bess in Bordeaux, one of the Deputati Fiamminghi from Don Carlos (five-act French version) and Frère Sylvestre from Saint-François d’Assise by Messiaen in Geneva. He took part in the world premiere of GRAALS (Birraux/Jullierat after Purcell) in Mézières, Switzerland.

 

He took part in several concerts (Amphithéâtre of the Paris Opera, Guadeloupe), singing the solo bass part in the Missa Brevis by Mozart and Schubert (La Clé des Chants),  the Paukenmesse by Haydn (Vandroeuvres), Mozart Requiem (Montperreux), he sang and recorded the role of Ramiro from La Sorcière by Camille Erlanger at the Victoria Hall in Geneva.

 

During season 2024-2025, he sings Angelotti from Tosca in Metz, Il Marchese d'Obigny from La Traviata in Dijon, Zaretsky from Evgeny Onegin in Nancy, Calchas from La Belle Hélène in Toulon.
